LE pounds Bulldogs

By BRAD MORRIS Herald Sports Editor

CARROLL - Logan Elm junior Andrea Anderson brought her 'A' game Saturday, scoring 29 points in a 45-31 road win at Bloom-Carroll.

"She came out and hit her first shot, and kind of went from there," LE coach Donna Peters said. "She was doing some other things, looking for her teammates, and she just had the shot.

"They did a good job trying to contain her but Andrea found the openings she needed to use."  Logan Elm (7-10, 5-6 MSL) took control in a 17-7 second quarter.

"We got a little bit of momentum built up and started pulling away," Peters said. "We started to get in sync as a team and Lacey Elliott had a couple of good steals."

Elliott added six points for the Braves with Mallory Rittinger and Katie Hupp each scoring four.

Bloom-Carroll was led by Katie Schurr with 21 points.

LE returns home to face Canal Winchester Tuesday.
