while participating in Softball, Basketball and Volleyball. Lisa was named Mid State League Player of the Year for Softball in 1981. | Chuck graduated from
Laurelville High School. He earned three Varsity letters while participating
in Basketball. Chuck began his coaching career at Logan Elm in 1967. He also
held the position of Athletic Director, Assistant Football Coach and
Assistant Baseball Coach. In addition, Chuck was Principal of Saltcreek
Elementary for eight years and of Washington Elementary for ten years. LOGAN ELM HALL OF FAME 2004 AWARD OF MERIT The Award of Merit was established to recognize individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to benefit Logan Elm Athletics. Mr. Eric Maxson is the recipient for 2004. Eric graduated from Logan Elm High School in 1977. He was a four-year member of the basketball team and a one-year member of the baseball team. Eric served as President of the Logan Elm Booster Club for 6 years. He would like to thank the officers, friends, coaches, family and parents for all of their support with the booster club. He would like to send special thanks to the coaches who worked concessions every week at bingo, worked the bingo floor and also for their cooperation in allowing the boosters to work on larger facility projects. Without those many people, he could not have achieved the outstanding goals that were set. All of that hard work and commitment resulted in: Three sets of Bleachers at the football stadium, Press Box, All-Weather Track, Track Equipment, Equipment Building, New Uniforms for All Sports Teams, Soccer Equipment, Weight Room Equipment, New Trophy Cases at McDowell, Athletic Banners in McDowell Gym, National Cheerleading Competition in Florida and Awards for the High School Academic Renaissance Program. In addition, Eric helped Laurelville PTO raise $25,000 to install new playground equipment by coordinating the basketball shoot each summer at the Laurelville Carnival. Eric also has been scorekeeper/clock keeper at several freshman games. Eric accepts this award on behalf of the booster officers, coaches, friends, family and parents who helped him to achieve these accomplishments. The Logan Elm Athletic Department is very pleased to take this opportunity to honor Mr. Eric Maxson with this Award of Merit. Please take a moment after the ceremony to congratulate him for a job WELL DONE! CURRENTLY: Eric is owner of Laurelville Grain & Mill Company since 1988.
